Stand Out and Stand to Win

It’s been awhile since I’ve written a blog.

It’s not because I haven’t thought of a ton of subjects.

On the contrary, it’s because there are just too many subjects to choose.

We live in a time where we are bombarded with messages—from the complexities of wars and the questions of vaccines, to the safety of food and water to the pros and cons of hormones. Corporate messaging creeps into what feels like every minute of our day, and we are clicking the delete button more than a woodpecker on a mountain cabin.

Social media, digital advertising, commercials, videos, hacks and oh so much more bombard our televisions, computer screens and phones; and oftentimes consume our conversations with friends and associates. News and product information are coming at us from every direction and we’re also spending time researching for ourselves to figure out what among all of these messages is actually true.

It’s quite the cluster.

That’s why it’s more important than ever for companies—large and small—to clearly define their brand promises and stick to their core value in every form of communications. Our team has been doing this communications thing for a few decades now, and we’ve never seen a more critical time to define your company’s stand-out propositions in this fray.

Internally, it’s important for employees to understand the values their company believes and to see examples of how those values translate into action. The internal publications and web content our DDCC team create provide interviews with employees about how they exemplified a company value and share best practices so other employees understand their importance.

Externally, the digital messaging, fundraising campaigns, event promotions, websites, media releases and more that we create stay in their brand lane. Each must be tied to a value-add with a company’s most important distinctions and advantages showcased in an engaging, concise format.

More importantly, a communications strategy is omnipotent among the “in the moment” spontaneous, all over the board messaging we are exposed to every day. A strategy ties into product launches, employee initiatives and company growth decisions. It sets a clear roadmap that ensures communications stay on brand; while still allowing for inserting sub-messaging as unforeseen current events unfold.

In short, a smart strategy with room to zig and zag as needed ensures your company’s messaging does not get lost in the ever present “yard sale” fray.

Whether we are consulting with a communications executive, determining company branding from the get go or supporting company values through employee and customer content, our DDCC team is here to ensure your message stands out so your company stands the best chance to win. And with today’s bombardment of persuasive information, we couldn’t be more excited—and more prepared— to help you make that happen.
